Heddle is a very simple top-down shawlette that’s modular. In other words, the pattern repeat can be worked any number of times, so you can work the pattern to the length that your yarn quantity will stretch to. With a picot cast-off for that special finishing touch.
Heddle is named as that is part of a weaving loom and the stitch pattern used looks like a woven fabric, but it’s created using knit, purl and basic lace eyelets.
Heddle is a top down shawl and is worked with a short pattern repeat that you can repeat as much or as little as you’d like. This means it works well as a one-skein shawl or for a larger amount of yarn.
The sample is made using Malabrigo Mechita in English Rose
The pattern is both fully written and fully charted, including schematic and stitch count tables.
Heddle is, also, available in regular PDF and a mobile-optimised version. In other words, you don’t have to keep zooming in and out, if you work on a mobile phone screen.
I love this photo. It was a complete accident but gives you a behind the scenes view of what my weird photoshoots are like.
I like to take the pictures myself but it’s not easy to be on both sides of the camera. Mr Hardybarn is my assistant and I can see what the camera sees on the phone that he’s holding. Then he presses the button when I’m ready. He’s not meant to be in shot though!
